Interview Essay Checklist.
Does your essay...
  1. Have a part that SHOWS the scene of when and how the interview went down?
  2. Have a part that physically describes the person in a SHOWY way?
  3. Clearly show the questions and answers?
  4. Use paragraphs with either indenting OR a space between them? Not both!
  5. Properly use quotation marks for actual dialogue? (See below.)
  6. Have a conclusion that discusses what you learned, most surprising info, most interesting, or change in attitude toward older people?
  7. Have proper spelling and punctuation?
  8. Have a groovy title that is capitalized?


Punctuating Dialogue. Use a new paragraph each time someone new speaks. Periods and commas go INSIDE the quotation marks.

     “This is my favorite dress,” said Sally. He gave her a funny look.
     “It looks terrible on you,” said Mark.
