Copy--A preposition is a word used to show the
relationship of a noun or pronoun to some other word in the sentence.
Examples:

The package with the bow, under
the tree, is mine.

The package in the tree is mine.

The package of books, behind
the tree, is mine.

The package addressed to me, above
the tree, is for me.
a) Identify the simple subject (main noun or pronoun)
and the simple predicate (main verb) in each sentence below. Remember:
the verb may be more than one word--the main verb, and a form of be
for the helper. b) Also identify any prepositions you see. The number
in parentheses tells you how many prepositions there are in that sentence.
