Copy--A preposition is a word used to show the relationship of a noun or pronoun to some other word in the sentence.
Examples: a) Identify the simple subject (main noun or pronoun) and the simple predicate (main verb) in each sentence below. Remember: the verb may be more than one word--the main verb, and a form of be for the helper. b) Also identify any prepositions you see. The number in parentheses tells you how many prepositions there are in that sentence.
