Webzine Working.
Writers. Editors, scroll down to your instructions.
1) On a separate sheet of paper, make a chart like the example below. Use pencil for this, because you will probably be making some changes, and make it big so you have a lot of room. I will be collecting this. Also hang on to the printed rough draft and evaluation sheet when you get them back from your editor.
Key Word or Phrase for Link filenameforlink Title of Page
Main Page/Essay index Web for Paintball Frenzy
paintball gun gun All About Paintball Guns
night vision goggles goggles Night Vision Goggles
camouflage camouflage All about Camouflage
equipment equipment Equipment You Need
try it yourself try How to Get Started

2) Follow the directions for creating links (Part 2 on the instruction sheet). Be sure to create the files first, even if they are just blank pages with titles, then link to them. Be sure to save them all to the same folder your essay is in.

3) When you get your rough draft back from your editor, bring the draft and the evaluation sheet to me so we can discuss what to revise and what to link. Then you can go back and make any changes we discuss, and continue creating links, writing those pages, and adding graphics  (Part 3 on the instruction sheet). Be sure to save everything in the same folder (jordanweb).

Editors.
1) Continue to edit printed rough drafts and fill out evaluation sheets. Use the rubric to guide you. Continue to suggest possibilities for links.
2) Start writing blurbs for each writer's piece. Write a 3-4 sentence promo for each. Try to generate interest in the article. Make people want to click that link. Put these next to their names on your web page. You can also write a blurb, welcoming readers to your section. Maybe even include links to outside web sites that are related to the writing in your section. (See Part 2, Step 6.)

3) Start looking for appropriate graphics (Part 3 on the instruction sheet) for your index page. Be sure to give credit for the sources of the graphics.
