"Verb! That's What's Happenin'"
A verb is a word that shows action, being, or state
of being. Examples: run, jump, be+, think
Practice: ID the verbs. (8 words)

(P) Having their images placed on postage stamps has honored
many famous people, both real and fictional. Choose a real or fictional
person who you feel deserves this honor. Write a paper that would
persuade others your choice is good.

(B) Describe the teacher (person) who has had the greatest
impact on your life (either positive or negative). Show how.

(E) Our culture has shifted significantly from homemade foods
straight from the kitchen to prepackaged, ready-to-eat foods and fast food.
Explain what is good and bad about this shift.

(T) Write a speech called "How to Laugh." First define what
laughter is. Then compare and contrast different kinds of laughs (chuckle,
guffaw, snicker, titter, giggle) and describe/show each.
