Correct Commas Sheet (p193)
NOT EXTRA CREDIT! MARK -1 FOR EACH INCORRECT SENTENCE
(NOT EACH COMMA), AND WRITE THE TOTAL OUT OF 10. THE WHOLE
SENTENCE MUST BE CORRECT, OR ELSE, -1.
Practice.
-
On p193 of your commas sheet, they list 8 places where you
would use a comma. Number them from 1-8.
-
Look at where you put commas in each of the 10 sentences
you did for homework. THINK: Why did you put the comma there?
-
Next to each sentence write the number of the reason that
sentence needed a comma(s).
-
For example: For sentence #1, you would write 4, because
the comma you inserted after the word America comes after "an introductory
word or phrase."
-
+1/2 for each that is correct.
-
IN YOUR PERFECT PAPER, YOU MUST USE 5 COMMAS FOR 2 REASONS.
