Open Groupwise.

Filing e-mails in Folders.

In left-hand pane, right-click on either Cabinet
or your name, depending on where you want the new folder.

Choose New Folder. Next.

In the next window, name the folder. Also in this window
you can position the folder by clicking up or down.

Next. Finish.
-
Now you can drag e-mails into folder to clear inbox.

Rules to do that for you.

Tools -- Rules.
-
New.
-
When the event is: Received and Sent.
-
If conditions are: Check the Mail box, and then on the Define
Conditions button.

In the next window use the first dropdown and look at your
options. You can use the last dropdown box to choose OR, if
you want to cover more possibilities. I use subject OR message.

The second dropdown define the Boolean operator. I just leave
it at Contains.
-
In the blank area, type what the message needs to contain
to trigger the filter. Let's use eett.

Click ok.
-
Now tell it what to do with those messages:

Click add action and then choose Move to Folder.

In the next window, check the box of the folder you want
the message moved to.

Mailing Lists.
-
Tools -- Address Book.
-
New -- Group.
-
Name your new list. Click Add.
-
Type the person's first name into the name box. This will
move the list straight to that person.

Drag each person over the the big box on the right.

Repeat until finished.

Click OK.

To mail to that group, just type the name you gave into the
To: box.
Open Netscape Composer.

Control N = New browser window.
-
(I now go to my Archives and find the day I want to start
with.)

Right-click: "Open link in Composer."

Control C = Copy.
-
Alt-Tab to switch windows back to Composer.
-
Control V = Paste.
-
Control S = Save.
-
Control A = Select All.
-
Resize the font for easy reading. (Check print preview from
the File menu.)

Double-click on a word to highlight it.

Control B = Bold-faced. Control U = Underline.

Let's add a picture to the lesson.

Control N = New browser window. Follow links to Novels --
Tom Sawyer -- Tom Sawyer Home Page -- Sales Prospectus -- pick one to click
on. Stop.

Windows D = Minimize all windows.
Let's get a screen capture program to put one of these pictures
on our lesson today.
So let's make a Shortcut to the one on
the server.

Right-Click on the Desktop somewhere that is not an icon,
and choose New and then Shortcut.

Browse.
-
My computer -- n drive -- teachers -- software -- MwSnap.exe.

OK.
-
Next. Finish.
Now we can use this to put a picture on out lesson page.

Double-click on your new shortcut.

Alt-Tab back to your picture page.
-
Alt-Tab to bring up the Snap program.
-
Frame the picture.
-
Control C = Copy.
-
Alt-Tab back to today's lesson.

Control V = Paste. Ok. Ok.

Right-click on the pic for properties like wrapping the words
around and suchlike.

Print preview from the File menu to see how it looks.

Control S = Save.
-
Put an overhead sheet into your laser printer.

Control P = Print.
