Prepositions.
Steps to Identifying Prepositions.  I. Make sure it's not something else, like an article.   II. Check to see if it's followed by a verb. Yes? It's part of the verb, not a preposition.   III. Ask, _____what? If there is an answer to that question, it's a preposition. If there isn't, it's an adverb.
