Color Justification Rough Drafts
Preparation
1. Make up a 4-digit number with which to identify your paper, and write it above the title. 2. Cut/tear your name off.  3. Staple your yellow handout with the rubric to the back of your essay. 4. I will collect the papers and the trash.

Reading
1. Read and evaluate the essay you are given.  2. Write your rubric scores TO THE RIGHT OF EACH QUESTION. DO NOT USE THE NUMBERS! Total them up. 3. Wait for the person to your left to finish his/her essay, and then trade. 4. Repeat Step 2.  5. After two readings:

  • If  both scores are 63 or higher, write the 4-digit number of the essay on the board. Bring me the essay.
  • If either score is 55 or below, bring me the essay.
  • If both scores are above 55, find the owner, and return it.
  • Here's a perfect one.
     Prove Your Thesis!
    What's that mean?
    a) State your point! (This color has this significance in my life...) This is your thesis.
    b) Give examples to prove your point. (Here are the important things this color represents.)
    c) Restate your point.

    Evaluate Examples. Evaluate yourself.
Final draft with rubric filled out by YOU due Friday. I will collect the yellow sheet, the rough draft, and the final draft.
