How to save your work for
use in class.
If you save your file as an rtf (rich text format) file,
we can almost always read it, no matter what program (Word, Works, etc.)
you used to create it!
No Macs, please; we can't read the disks. Go to the e-mail
page to see what to do!
If you are saving for the first time:
-
Make sure you have a disk in the drive.
-
Choose "Save."
-
Look for the drop-down arrow next to "Save as Type", and
click.
-
Scroll down until you see "Rich
Text Format" (rtf), and choose that.
-
Look for the drop-down arrow next to "Save In", and click.
-
Scroll up until you see "3 1/2 Floppy
(A:)."
-
Click "Save." Make sure you also save to your hard drive:
-
Choose "Save As."
-
Look for the drop-down arrow next to "Save In", and click.
-
Choose C:, and then "My Documents."
-
Click "Save."
If you have already saved it, and want to make sure we can
read it at school.
-
Choose "Save As."
-
Follow directions 2-11 above.
