This poem is about young boy that is traveling around Baltimore.
He is filled with Glee or happiness; until a Baltimorean calls him a nigger.
Then he travels all around Baltimore and sees many wonderful things, but
all he can remember is when he was called that name. This one line of the
poem "That all that I remember" is the saddest part. One reason it is the
saddest part is that the Baltimorean is the same age as him, but yet he
hurt him so much. This poem shows how much one bad name can affect
and ruin a person. Also how important it is to be nice to everyone.
