Tuesday, 4/22: Homework, Work on Essay

Welcome Guest Teacher.

Work on Definitions for the last 10 minutes.


Copy Homework into planner:

  • Essays are due to be shared FRIDAY.
    Final Format: Intro, 3 Reason Paragraphs with 2 Pieces of Evidence each, Opposing viewpoint/counterclaim/evidence paragraph(s), Conclusion, Works Cited
  • Vocab due Wednesday, Thursday
    • due Wednesday– Definitions in notebook.
    • due Thursday – Copy and Finish the SMYK’s.   NO SMYK’s due too short week.

Essays are due to be shared by Friday:

Opposing Viewpoint and Counterclaim.

BOB p305: Address an opposing claim. “Counter and Crush.” This paragraph should be in the 200 word range.

 

CONCLUSION:

Read the paragraphs on p280 and 290. Those are models of conclusions from both sides. Go. Maybe about 50-75 words.
