Checking: Vocab definitions.

“Kinds of Sentences”
Follow the directions exactly. No hints. No help. You start with 35 points. Subtract 1 for each instruction not followed or each wrong/missing answer.

1. Fold the pink white sheet backwards along the line, above the word convene.
2. Fill in name and date on Kinds of Sentences sheet.
3. Read the lesson on “Kinds of Sentences.”
4. Follow the directions for the “Identifying Kinds of Sentences” section and do 1-15. Don’t forget to add the end punctuation to each one!
5. At the bottom (or down the side) of the sheet:
   Rewrite sentence #3 as an interrogative sentence.
6. When you are sure your whole group is finished doing everything above, raise your hand.
7. You have 10 minutes. Go.

• Come to my desk and choose one question, and answer it using at least one example from the book. You don’t have to write the question, but your answer should make the question obvious. Your response should be at least a paragraph long. Give your post an appropriate and creative title.
• Return your Chromebook to the cart and plug it in.
• Go get a Chapter 10 Quiz (yellow) from the stack. Do not write on the sheet! In your notebook, write the letter and the first four words of the answer.  Open Book! Return the sheet to the pile.
• Read ch 11. Answer the following questions in your notebook under the title, “Chapter 11.”

• BONUS:  Use your mad internet searching powers to find out who the “Jimmy” is that the book is dedicated to. Added Bonus if you can find an SE Hinton quote to prove it. Write the answers in your notebook under the title, “Outsiders Dedication.”
