- Argumentative Research Report! Turn it in (and post it on your blog) by Friday and receive a 5% bonus. Otherwise, you can ruin your three-day weekend and turn it in Tuesday, 5/26. Here are the requirements. We will be in the library all week, so you had better take advantage of your time there.

- Blog House Cleaning: Go back over your most recent ten (10) posts and proofread VERY CAREFULLY. Beginning Friday morning,
I will be reviewing them in the same way as the PERFECT PAPER. Every
mistake will be costly. Fix typos, fragments, run-ons, lame
titles, pictures that don't appear, missing urls, baaaaaad spelling,
misused capitals... whew.
- Vocabulary Review test on Friday. Here's the list of lists. I will simply be copying and pasting from previous tests.
- Parts of Speech Review test on Friday. Here is the study guide you should have completed on Monday in class.

Remember to record the urls of the pages you read. Use these search terms each night to find things to read:

- Tuesday night: "would you want to live in a utopia"
- Wednesday night: "utopia examples from history"
- Thursday night: "arguments for (against) utopia"

Week of October 27 - Welcome to the Second Quarter (Updated 10/29)
- KBAR = MORE Reading for your topic/article. Read 20 minutes, get chart signed (in notebook) M, T, W, Th.
NONFICTION RESPONSE: Please respond 1 paragraph per night using one of the prompts. Use a different one each night. Be prepared to read yours the next day.
BONUS OPPORTUNITY: Instead of using your notebook, publish your KBAR responses on a Blogger
blog! Use your @student.slcusd.org account to log in. Create a name for
yourself! Encourage your parents and friend to read and comment
(appropriately)! You must commit to the whole week; I don't want to have to check both places. E-MAIL ME THE LINK FOR YOUR BLOG!
UPDATE! If you blog your KBAR this week, you do not need
signatures or a chart. Just be sure to include the source you are
reading!

articles, book chapters, etc.
Due Thursday at the bottom of your YOUR GOOGLE DOC: Works Cited entries for your 4 articles. Tip: Add the EasyBib add-on to your GoogleDocs.
ALERT: The Works Cited for 4 sources is due with your article on Tuesday, 10/28.

the next day on the back of the AW sheet. Thank you.)
