Tuesday, 10/13: “The Levitating Comma,” Vocab, Outsiders
Your “Fun” should be posted to your blog or in the basket by the end of the day. Right now I am checking vocabulary definitions.
Apostrophes. Follow the directions exactly. No hints. No help.
- Fold the pink sheet in half along the line below the word supplementary.
- Fill in name and date on Apostrophes sheet.
- Read the lesson on “Apostrophes.”
- On the sheet, number the three uses of apostrophes: 1, 2, 3.
- Follow the directions for the “Using Apostrophes” section and do 1-15.
- For #2 and #3 in the “Using Apostrophes” section, write which use (1, 2, 3) of the apostrophe is demonstrated. (For example, sentence #1 has an example of the second (2) use of apostrophes.)
- When you are sure your whole group is finished doing everything above, raise your hand.
- You start with 25 points. Subtract 1 for each instruction not followed and each wrong answer.
