Tuesday, 10/13: “The Levitating Comma,” Vocab, Outsiders

Your “Fun” should be posted to your blog or in the basket by the end of the day. Right now I am checking vocabulary definitions.

Apostrophes. Follow the directions exactly. No hints. No help.

  1. Fold the pink sheet in half along the line below the word supplementary.
  2. Fill in name and date on Apostrophes sheet.
  3. Read the lesson on “Apostrophes.”
  4. On the sheet, number the three uses of apostrophes: 1, 2, 3.
  5. Follow the directions for the “Using Apostrophes” section and do 1-15.
  6. For #2 and #3 in the “Using Apostrophes” section, write which use (1, 2, 3) of the apostrophe is demonstrated. (For example, sentence #1 has an example of the second (2) use of apostrophes.)
  7. When you are sure your whole group is finished doing everything above, raise your hand.
  8. You start with 25 points. Subtract 1 for each instruction not followed and each wrong answer.
  9. You have 10 minutes. Go.
